Hero Talent Points – Best Allocation & When to Reset

Clan mates, Hero Talent Points are one of the highest-ROI tools in Total Battle. You earn them every time your Hero levels up (3 points early, scaling to 10 points per level from Hero Level 86+). These points go into four branches:

• Battle Tactics – Combat power (Guardsmen/Monsters/Specialists strength, march speed, double damage chance — the unique bonus here is huge for PvE).
• Expert Battle Tactics – Training speed, army carrying capacity, and later siege/engineer bonuses.
• Economy – Construction/research speed, tile bonuses, food/silver production.
• Archaeology – Crypt efficiency, tar cost reduction, double-crypt chance, and XP bonuses.

This guide gives you the exact, tested strategies top players use for fastest growth.
 

1. Core Allocation Strategy (Top-Down Filling Rule)

Golden Rule: Always fill from the deepest/highest-tier nodes first.

• Put 1 point across the middle column of the tree to unlock the farthest nodes possible.
• Then max the highest-level bonuses first (e.g., Guardsmen Strength III or IV gives far more % than lower tiers).
• Backfill lower nodes afterward.

This gives dramatically bigger returns than filling bottom-up.
 

2. Recommended Allocations by Stage

Early Game (Hero Level 1–80) – Snowball Growth

• 60–70% Economy (prioritize Construction Speed, Research Speed, Tile Bonuses, Food/Silver Production)
• 20–30% Archaeology (Crypt Efficiency, Tar Cost Reduction, Double Crypt Chance)
• 10% Battle Tactics (basic Guardsmen strength only)

Mid Game (Hero Level 80–150) – VP Farming Machine

• Heavy Battle Tactics (max Guardsmen Strength, Monster Damage, Double Damage Chance)
• Keep strong Economy for fast building/research
• Solid Archaeology for efficient crypt farming
• Light Expert Battle Tactics for training speed and carrying capacity

Late Game / Specialized Builds

• Pure VP Farming: 70%+ Battle Tactics (Guardsmen + Double Damage) + Expert Battle Tactics for training speed
• CP / PvP Focus: Mix Battle Tactics (Specialists Strength/Health) + Expert Battle Tactics (march speed & carrying)
• Balanced / Event Prep: 40% Economy + 40% Battle Tactics + 20% Archaeology

Pro Tip: Always choose Strength over Health in Battle Tactics for monster farming. In Archaeology, prioritize Tar Cost Reduction → Double Crypt Chance → Efficiency.
 

3. When & How to Reset Talent Points

Talent resets are cheap/free early and essential for optimization. Best times to reset:

• Every 10–20 Hero levels
• Before major events (Shadow Invasion, Armageddon, Doomsday, Ragnarok)
• When switching focus (farming → PvP or vice versa)
• At key Hero milestones (Level 105 and 145 unlock powerful new high-tier nodes)

Reset Technique (do this every time):

1. Reset completely
2. Put 1 point across the middle column to unlock deepest nodes
3. Max highest-level bonuses first, then backfill
4. Save resets for event-specific builds
