How to Research
 

Research is one of the most important long-term investments in Total Battle. Every upgrade in the Academy gives permanent bonuses to troops, economy, heroes, and more. This guide shows you exactly how to access and use the Research system efficiently.

How to Research – Step-by-Step

1. Locate the Academy 
   In your city, find and tap the Academy building (it looks like a large library/tower).
   Or Select Menu at the bottom of your screen, and then select Academy.
    
2. Open the Research Tree 
   Once you've tapped the Academy → tap the Research tab. 
   You will see multiple branches: Guardsmen, Specialists, Engineers, Monsters, Archeology, Economy, Army Modernization, etc.
    
3. Select a Technology 
   Browse the available nodes. 
   Each node shows:
   • Cost (Valor Points / Conquest Points)
   • Time required
   • What bonus it gives
      
4. Start Research 
   Tap the node → Research. 
   The research will begin automatically if you have the resources.
    
5. Speed Up Research
   • Use Speed-ups (from events, chests, or purchases)
   • Ask for Clan Help (clan mates can speed up your research)
   • Activate hero skills or equipment that reduce research time
