Rise of the Ancients (Tin Man): Day 2 Summon Strategy & Participation

TWE Academy Tutorial:
Rise of the Ancients

Rise of the Ancients' Event Guide

Welcome to TWE Academy’s Rise of the Ancients (Tin Man) guide!

This is Day 2 of the Ancients’ Treasure event. Using the summons earned on Day 1, the clan calls forth the powerful Tin Man. Strong coordination and full participation are required to maximize rewards for the entire clan.

How Rise of the Ancients Works (Day 2)

After Day 1 ends, the clan uses the summons earned to call the Tin Man. Only Superiors can perform the summon (typically Father, or another Superior if he is unavailable).

Troop Strategy for Tin Man

Tin Man summons are typically level 20–35. Success depends on proper troop stacking (low-tier fodder in front to absorb damage, high-damage troops behind) and using the right captains.

Best Captains for Tin Man

  • Hercules – Best overall (strong bonuses vs epic monsters)
  • Cleopatra – Excellent army-wide buffs
  • Amanitore – Strong for group marches and raids
  • Alexander – Good if using mostly mounted troops
  • Aydae – Solid all-rounder

Avoid: Stror, Helen, Carter, Farhad, Aurora (minimal benefit against epics).

Troop Stacking Strategy

  • Always use vertical stacking — cheaper lower-tier troops in front as meat shields.
  • Common ratio: 1.8:1 or 2:1 (lower tier to higher tier).
  • Use mercenaries and monsters whenever possible — they deal high damage and stay protected.

General Troop Tips

  • Never send Catapults — they are ineffective against Tin Man.
  • Higher-tier troops = more points and better rewards, but always protect them with fodder.
  • Use the Total Battle Stack Calculator (Tools & Calculators page) for exact numbers based on your troop levels and bonuses.

Pro Tip Premium players should select Great Marshal before attacking. After every fight, check the battle report to see which troop types performed best and adjust your next march.

Tin Man Participation Rules & Expectations

  • All online members are expected to join every Tin Man fight.
  • These summons are typically level 24–29 and require full clan effort.
  • Send your strongest, troop-heavy marches to maximize your contribution and the clan’s rewards.

Key Takeaways

  • Only Superiors summon the Tin Man — support them by being online at the scheduled times.
  • Full participation on every summon is critical for maximum clan rewards.
  • Use the timezone converter above so everyone knows the correct local time.
